Welcome to My Holy Land Stone

Welcome to My Holy Land Stone, a place where you can find information and stories about Holy Places, Churches and the history of the Holy Land.

The Holy Land is the land of the Bible, the home of the New and Old Testaments, the land that God promised to Abraham: "To your descendants I give this land, from the Wadi of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates - the land of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites, Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites, Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites and Jebusites." (Genesis 15:18-21)

In the New Testament, Matthew: refers to the land as the land of Israel: "After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life. And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel." (Matthew 2:19-21)

The uniqueness of the Holy Land is 'geo-theological'. This is the land which faces the entrance to the spiritual world, the sphere of existence that lies beyond the physical world known to us through our senses. This is the key to the land's unique status with regard to prophecy and prayer, and also with regard to the commandments.

Since biblical times the Holy Land has been a destination for religious pilgrimages, and the perceived holiness of the land to Christianity was the ideological driving force behind the Crusades.

Many of the Pilgrims frequently describe their pilgrimage to the Holy Land as a life-changing experience. They find it difficult to express the absolute bliss they feel during this unique spiritual adventure.

As they literally follow the footsteps of Jesus, some find the journey a way to get closer to Jesus, a way to discover the roots of their Christian faith. Others recount passionate feelings of being human bridges for peace and reconciliation by feeling part of the rich tapestry of religious history that inspires every stone and every corner of this Holy Land.

You can also enjoy this spiritual experience, and bring the absolute bliss of the Holy Land to your own home. One of the stones of the Holy Land, the tongueless witnesses of thousands years of history, can be yours, an amulet that contain spirituality and the power to influence your life and residential environment.
